GETTING THE FOOTPRINTS

For our purposes, the most important things to capture with the ink is the overall shape/outline of the foot and the little toe beans! Don't stress if it takes you a few attempts to get a clear footprint - the first one is practice anyway, right?

STEP 1 Gather materials: We highly recommend this mess free kit on Amazon

STEP 2 Choose the right time: Wait until the baby is asleep, calm, or in a good mood for easier application.

STEP 3 Prepare the kit: For best results, read the instructions included with the kit before proceeding. Place the ink pads on the paper provided.

STEP 4 Imprint: Wash and dry the feet. Gently press them onto the ink pad. You want even pressure to ensure a clear print (remember our goals: overall shape/outline and all the toe beans)

MAKE SURE TO STAMP BOTH FEET!

STEP 5 Air-dry: Select the best imprints and let them air-dry for 2-3 days before proceeding.

I HAVE THE FOOTPRINTS, NOW WHAT DO I DO?

Okay, so you successfully got those cute little feet stamped onto paper (good job!!! Biggest challenge conquered!). Now you're wondering how to get them to us. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to properly scan them!

STEP 1 Align the footprint: Place the footprint on the scanner bed, aligning the corner with the paper icon.

STEP 2 Add reference paper: Place a standard 8.5x11 sheet of printer paper on top of the footprint, aligning the corners. It's crucial to use the 8.5x11 sheet to ensure that we have accurate sizing of the footprints).

STEP 3 Scan the prints: Hit the scan button on your computer and save the file as either a JPEG or PDF.

STEP 4 Upload the prints: Upload both footprints in the designated attachment section of our booking form.

And that's it! You're done! We'll take care of the rest and transform your precious prints into stunning pieces of art you will enjoy for years to come.
